Terms and Labels

If there is confusion concerning what certain terms mean or why the labels are being used the way that they are, here are some of them:

Terms:

Christian Hedonism: This does not mean the pursuit of worldly pleasure with a "Christian" coating. It means that the pursuit of pleasure should be elevated towards the beauty and joy of the triune God.

If you are repulsed by the idea of sacrificing for the pleasure and glory of a "narcissistic deity," here is Pastor John Piper on your attitude.

Kingdom Potential: The greatest possibility that a Christian can be used by God to effectively advance His Kingdom everywhere he or she can. God works this in us by conforming our attitudes and behaviors to His revealed will.

Labels:

Grace Covenant Church: Posts that are made particularly for our own congregation. But feel free to look through them to see if you find something applicable.

Growing in Favor: Posts for the young people to encourage them to gladly pursue responsibility and integrity before God and people in the classroom, home, church, workplace, and civil assembly. As you can see, this is motivated by the Rebelution and comes from Luke 2:52.

Preterism/Postmillenialism: The views of optimistic eschatology that is expressed in this blog. They will be expounded upon in our pastor's upcoming book, "The Framework of Prophecy." Until then, content yourselves with these books by two different authors:

Heaven Misplaced by Douglas Wilson
The Beast of Revelation by Ken Gentry

And here are a compiled list of sermons by our pastor on this subject.
