About

Since the grace of Christ has redeemed us from a life in rebellion against God, we are to live in holiness according to His word. Now we are to set our affections where Christ dwells at the right hand of His Father, waiting for His enemies to be made His footstool. God has drafted us into His Kingdom service, to participate in the discipleship of the nations in righteousness by faith which works by love.

Of course we still sin in our flesh and fall short of our calling. That is why we need His Spirit to work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure. He enables us to grow in obedience and to treasure the glory of God. He has provided His word in our native language to comfort and instruct us in the path of righteousness. The following verses from Colossians are what I (Luke) want this blog to be about:

"That ye might walk worthy of the Lord unto all pleasing, being fruitful in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God; Strengthened with all might, according to his glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness;" ~ Colossians 1:10-11

(If you wonder why the URL has the words "redeemed-dianoia-thinking" in it, this blog used to be called "Thoughts of a Redeemed Dianoia." [Dianoia being the Greek word for "Mind"] I'll keep the URL as it is, so no one will loss track where the blog is.)
